Japanese Dragon Tattoo Design
Japanese Dragon Tattoo Design
This dragon has its mouth closed, in a less aggressive stance. It also clutches in one of his claws an object that is variously shown as a ball, a pearl, or a jewel. This item is essentially the closed-lotus form seen in various Buddhist designs including temples and grave markers
Japanese Backpiece Tattoo
The body of the dragon directly connects with the cherry blossoms and wind at the upper left. The clutched pearl of wisdom takes up a place of some prominence at the upper right, providing balance to the design. The lower body of the dragon tattoo now loops downward and to the left while the tale finally ends downward and to the right, somewhere on my upper thigh.

Traditional Japanese tattoo
Japanese tattoos are known for their full body styling, bold lines, historic patterns and traditional images. The techniques for tattooing that developed in Japan used hand tools, and it wasn’t until the mid 20th century that machines first came to Japanese tattooing.
Incredibly popular are the Tattoo Contests, which will be held in various categories such as black and grey, best small piece, best large piece etc., where visitors take part in an exciting competition in which art and fun are the real winners.
On September 21st to September 23rd of 2007, Starlight Tattoo will be accompanied by world famous tattoo artists at the Meadowlands Exposition Center! THIS IS THE ULTIMATE TATTOO EVENT OF THE YEAR! Covered by every trade magazine world wide! News & Radio coverage. Celebrity appearances! Vendors from clothes to tattoo supplies, piercing supplies, accessories, and merchandise. Doctors for laser tattoo removal, Seminars in Art-History and Law of Tattooing. Contests all weekend long! HENNA ARTISTS, T-Shirt designers, SOMETHING FOR EVERY BODY.
The Times reported that “The traditional show on the Tattoo” was very much in evidence as middle-aged rockers of both sexes mingled with a new, younger breed of heavy metal fans, but amid the throng of Motorhead and Anthrax T-shirts were dozens of stylishly dressed young women, many of them sporting large, but beautifully crafted, Oriental tattoos. The trend for bold statements rather than cute little hearts and butterflies appears to be growing as one in eight Britons are now estimated to carry this particular form of adornment.
Hori Toshi is one of the greatest hand tattooing masters of all times. So do not miss this rare opportunity to see this master working in traditional Japanese style on the East Coast! Japanese tattoo is called “irezumi” or “horimono” in Japanese.
In Japan, tattoo is usually considered to be a symbol of a yakuza and tends to be perceived negatively by people. For example, many public bath facilities in Japan inhibit customers who have tattoos from entering. Traditional Japanese tattoo covers arms, shoulders, and the back. In recent years, it’s becoming popular for Japanese young people to get contemporary tattoos.

Zodiac Tattoo Designs - Cancer Tattoo Ideas
Born under cancer, you are an emotional and loving person. You are protective towards those you love and those weaker than yourself. This does not mean you are easily taken in, as you are shrewd and cautious - well able to size up another person's character and true intentions. You place great trust in your intuition and you are rarely wrong about people. You have a vivid imagination, which gives you great empathy with others. You love unreservedly and you are tenaciously loyal, particularly to your family. You a drawn to your family and you value the closeness of the family unit.
Cancer Tattoo DesignsThe Cancer Zodiac symbol is the crab. Some people do not like the idea of having the image of a crab tattooed on their body. You should not let this worry you as there are many distinctive and attractive tattoo designs. You can use the Cancer sign itself or an image of a crab skilfully worked into the artwork. Alternatively, you can have a tattoo of your starstone, which is the pearl or, since the moon rules Cancer, you could choose a moon and stars tattoo.
Celtic Cancer Tattoo IdeaCeltic artwork has incorporated creatures in its designs over a very long time. Tattoo designs with the crab interwoven with knotwork make them attractive and interesting, with a touch of mystery. A Celtic tattoo links you even more closely to your Zodiac sign. The Celts had a strong spiritual connection to the universe and to all creatures.
Tribal Cancer Tattoo IdeasCancer zodiac tattoos done in the tribal style are among the most distinctive. The boldness of the lines enhances the image of the crab. The image can be embellished by more intricate artwork and used as a theme, rather than have an exact drawing of the crab. Often the Zodiac sign itself is used instead of the image of a crab. The sign looks like two opposing curved lines with a loop on one end. Because of its simplicity, this sign can be used in a number of artistic designs.
The Cancer Zodiac symbol is also known as a water sign. Water is malleable - it will fit the contours of the vessel or container that holds it. This is very much part of your nature. You are adaptable to most situations. No doubt this will help you in your search for your special Cancer Zodiac tattoo.

Angel Wings Tattoo
Have you always wanted a pair of angel wings? A lot of people fantasize about having a pair of angel wings as they can represent a wide vareity of symbolism and important values to the bearer of this great tattoo. So what do your angel wings tattoo represent? It is really up to you and below we will explore some of the more common meanings and symbolism behind the angel wings tattoo designs.
Angel Wings History
Interestingly enough the angels present in the Western bible never had wings. If you read in the old or new testment the angels and seraphim where very much human like in every way. In fact they did not even have a pair of wings. However, they were always the bearer ofimportant new from God. They often came down to earth to spread an important message. Often apperaing in dreams or during times of deep prayer to people and giving some form of important advice.
However, somehwere early on in history artists including painters, stain glass artists and even calligraphers that created illuminated pages of the bible seemed to incorporate a pair of wings with the angels, speraphim and nymphs that came to earth. Why this was done or where it started has been lost in history but it can be seen almost everywhere.
In modern art this traditional of angel wings has continued. You really can no longer find an angelic bieng without a pair of white feathery wings. It could be that early artists just wanted to show an angels special powers and have some way to represent an angel as looking different then humans. Of course the ideas that Haven is somehwere above us in the clouds or way up in the sky in some magical place must've lead early artists to the conclusion that angels had to have some form of transportation between heaven and earth. This might have lead to the wide use of angel wings. Who knows how this really got all started but it is clear today anyone with a pair of wings must be a special being from God.

Fairy Tattoos
Fairy tattoos are one of the most feminine tattoo designs and are a favorites among women. Actually, there is not much of a difference between fairy tattoos and angel tattoos. While angels can be said to be messengers of god and are considered to be of the religious type, fairy tattoos doesnt have religion attached to it.
Fairy Tattoo Design
Fairies were just some supernatural beings with magical powers. Fairies are supposed to be fun loving creatures, who can be naughty too. According to various legends fairies used to punish the persons with an evil nature and helped the prince fight the big bad ogre.
Some people also believe that fairies are lucky to the one who is able to see them. Fairy tattoos show the sensual side of females and can give a hint of naughtiness or even flirtiness in their nature. Ladies, if you are thinking of getting a tattoo, please keep fairy tattoos in your mind.

Lower Back Tattoos
Tattoos on the lower back have gained immense popularity in the past decade or so. At a certain point of time in history, they were considered to be the symbol of bad character and casual attitude; the entire outlook has since changed. These tattoos are, in today’s day and age, considered as a reflection of the mind and behavior of the individual who wears the tattoo. Owing to the vast number of designs that are available, any individual can perfectly depict his or her attitude in the pictorial form. Some of the most famous forms of lower back tattoos are the Celtic lower back tattoos, the butterfly designs, and the flower designs.
Celtic tattoos are those tattoos that comprise of various Celtic arts and designs. Celts are a clan of people who lived in Europe and spoke their own distinguished language. It is widely know that if any individual who is getting a tattoo done wishes also to incorporate alphabets, then he must do so in such a way so that the lettering matches the exact work of art and does not look different from the design. The tattoo lettering should look as a part of the entire design and not vary from it. This is easily possible in the case of lower back Celtic tattoos. This is due to the fact that in the case of Celtic tattoos, the alphabets can be intricately woven into the design by the help of various Celtic knots.

Jesus Tattoos
Jesus Tattoo Designs - The image of Jesus as a tattoo design is the most "Christian" of all religious tattoos. Jesus is often depicted hanging on the cross. As well many times the tattoo is a close up of his face with a halo (or faint glow) over him and a crown of thorns placed upon his head during the crucifixion.

Eagle Tattoos
So a guy walks into a tattoo shop... sounds like a start of a joke, but seriously which tattoo shop you walk into could mean all the difference in how your tattoo comes out. Here I used an American Eagle Tattoo to cover a poorly done and totally backward Eagle Globe and Anchor Tattoo. A type of tattoo I take a lot of pride in doing well. So beware on where and who tattoos you, not all tattoo mistakes can be easily covered up. I will have a before picture of the covered tattoo soon.

Angelina Jolie Tattoos
Angelina has a mix of tattoos on both her arms. Her left bicep previously had the name "Billy Bob" and a black tribal dragon on it. Both of those pieces have since been removed by laser treatments. In their place are now the latitude and longitude coordinates for the birthplaces of Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh and Pax. Be on the lookout for 43n42, 7e15 to be added to Angelina's arm sometime in the future! Those are the coordinates for Nice, France, birthplace of her new twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, born July 12, 2008!
Her left arm also has a quote from Tennessee Williams on it, reading "A prayer for the wild at heart, kept in cages." This covers a previous kanji tattoo.
On her right arm, she has an Arabic tattoo, the word meaning "will (determination)" covers up another tattoo from her marriag to Billy Bob Thornton. She also has the letter "H" on one of her arms along with the Roman numeral 13.
